FARIBAULT, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a mother and her three young children whose disappearance triggered a state crime alert have been found safe.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an alert Wednesday afternoon after the 24-year-old mother called a friend and said her boyfriend had taken control of her vehicle and was taking them to Interstate 35. Investigators say cell phone records later indicated the user was in a wooded area in Faribault (FAYR'-boh).
The bureau later said the woman and children were safe, but did not provide details.
