United Way Cass-Clay hit 750,000 mark for donated books
Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - The United Way has given out more than three quarters of a million books in Cass and Clay Counties through its Imagination Library program.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The United Way has given out more than three quarters of a million books in Cass and Clay Counties through its Imagination Library program. To mark the milestone, volunteers including North Dakota First Lady Betsy Dalrymple read to children throughout the community.
The United Way also delivered more than 500 books in May Day Baskets. Imagination Library is free to any local family with a child up to 5 years old.
Betsy Dalrymple – First Lady – North Dakota: “I am looking at early childhood education aspect of it. These children will be more ready to go to school and be more ready for kindergarten. They will love books. They will be better readers and be more successful in life.”
