As the Dakota Medical Foundation celebrates its 50th Anniversary, some big plans announced today for the organization. Today DMF broke ground on a state of the art Community Conference Center that will train and serve hundreds of non-profits groups in our region.
It will also host a fundraising school for the dozens of charities that serve Fargo-Moorhead and greater Minnesota and North Dakota. The new building will also be home to the Impact Foundation, an arm of DMF. As $308 billion in wealth transfer sweeps across North Dakota during the next few years non-profits need to prepare.
Pat Traynor – Dakota Medical Foundation: “The purpose of the building is to have an area for us and non-profits to convene over time and build the best strategies and continue to learn from what is not working so we can make a bigger impact over time.”
Cities and local agencies will also use the new conference center when focusing on health and wellness projects.
