MSUM adds new water filling stations

Drinking water from a reusable bottle has benefits for the environment. Now a new drinking fountain is counting just how many plastic bottles have been saved by using a reusable one.

Fountains have been installed in the wellness center at MSUM and in just the last two weeks the two fountains have recorded nearly 10,000 bottles saved.

Lewis Grant – MSUM Wellness Center: “We thought you know a fitness facility, it would be great to save on water bottles, I'm sure we get through the probably the most water daily. So it was a perfect idea to get the filling stations over here.”

Besides the wellness center there are several more filling stations in the Memorial Union.
