MSUM athletes made a scene on campus today, part of an event that will help bring in more scholarship athletes. This is part of the largest fundraising project for Dragon athletics. It's the kick off to the 7th annual Dragon Fire Walk.
Today's walk is to raise awareness. The big spaghetti feed and youth fun run is Friday. The 5-k, 10-k and 10 mile races are then Saturday morning. All are at Nemzek Hall.
Gloria Riopelle – Assistant Athletic Director: “Our conference is very competitive and we need to increase our scholarship funds so our student athletes for educational purposes and competition.”
The event raised nearly $80,000 last year. So far this year they're at nearly $66,000.
