People are preparing for a potential disaster, going through tough tornado exercises. It's National Severe Storm Preparedness Week.

The American Red Cross and Cass County officials put on a mock tornado drill. People from Bethany Towers Nursing Home volunteered to be fake storm victims. They were brought to the Fargo Civic Center to go through the process of checking into an American Red Cross shelter site.

The American Red Cross says with past flood fights, it's been years since they've had a training exercise like this.

Randy Johnson – American Red Cross/Regional CEO: “Fortunately we have not had to deal with tornados that have hit a mass population area but if we did, drills like this are just priceless.”

There's tornado training in Casselton on Wednesday night at the high school and city hall around 6.
