Police: 1 of 2 questioned in Mandan homicide dies

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police in Mandan say one of the two men taken into custody and questioned in connection with the slaying of a Mandan woman has died.

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police in Mandan say one of the two men taken into custody and questioned in connection with the slaying of a Mandan woman has died.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/ItGmmp ) that the suspect's name is not being released, but Mandan Police Chief Dennis Bullinger says the suspect was known to the victim.

Police say 60-year-old Gloria Schmidt-Lozensky was found dead in her mobile home early Friday morning after authorities were notified by a relative. Police have ruled her death a homicide.

Two men were taken into custody during a traffic stop and questioned.

Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman says one of the two men was found dead in bed Sunday morning. He was staying with relatives, and the cause of death is not yet known.
