Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A 2nd person on the Board of Higher Education is saying the job is too stressful.
Board Member Michael Haugen, from Fargo, says serving as the state's adjutant general during September 11th and traveling to the Middle East is easier than serving on the board. His 4-year term expires July first, and he's not seeking re-election.
Claus Lembke, from Bismarck, quit this week, citing stress. Along with tension with legislators, board members see monthly agendas with 300 to 600 pages of paperwork.
The board president says he's now worried about finding qualified candidates in the future.
