Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Medical bills are piling up for a Fargo man, and now, nearly one thousand people are helping him cover costs.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Medical bills are piling up for a Fargo man, and now, nearly one thousand people are helping him cover costs.

Andrew Lynch was diagnosed with leukemia in December. At a spaghetti feed, people donated money to eat dinner and bid on more than 160 silent auction items.

Every dollar is going toward Lynch's medical bills and treatment. Several groups are matching the money raised.

Event organizer, Dave Weiler, says, "In his life time he has already given hundreds possibly thousands of hours of volunteer work to the community, and so all of these entities he has touched over the years are getting together to give back to him."
