19-year-old dies in train accident in Minot

Minot, ND (WDAY TV) -- A 19 year old man died this morning after being hit by a train.

Minot, ND (WDAY TV) -- A 19 year old man died this morning after being hit by a train.

It happened in Minot around 3-30. Ward County authorities say the victim was walking toward the train, and when it got closer he turned to start walking away from it but didn't get off the tracks.

They say the conductor tried to stop the train and was sounding the horn. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
