The evidence that lead to a murder victim's severed head is shown in court during the Daniel Wacht trial. Wacht is accused of killing and decapitating NDSU researcher Kurt Johnson in Cooperstown.

A BCI Agent showed jurors a blood stained pillow that was found inside a garbage bag in Wacht's home. Investigators also found soiled boots and coveralls which was unusual on a winter day. Mud lead them to a crawl space and Johnson's severed head.

Shelby Franklin - BCI Agent: "We observed dirt that you could still see it had moisture in the dirt. It was more fluffy, and it was disturbed.”

The trial will continue Monday morning.
