The Minnesota School of Business is taking its volunteer efforts to the next level for this year’s Fargo Marathon. The school will close its campus Friday May 18th to send all campus staff, faculty, and some students to volunteer.
Race director Mark Knutson was at the school showing volunteers what they will be doing and where they will be stationed. The school has volunteered some in the past, but hasn’t done anything like this before.
Brian Shawn – MSB Communication Specialist: “Did a little bit on a smaller scale last year, but you know adding the massage therapist coming in on Saturday and saying you know what we’re going to give free massages to all of the marathon and half marathon recipients, we thought you know let’s make this a full weekend thing, let’s get everybody involved and we are going to have people out there all day.”
The school will have nearly 200 volunteers at all events throughout race weekend. The marathon is run May 19th.
