HERO holds biggest fundraiser of the year

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the local non-profit HERO. WDAY 6 reporter Kevin Wallevand emceed the event at the Ramada tonight.

It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the local non-profit HERO. WDAY 6 reporter Kevin Wallevand emceed the event at the Ramada tonight.

Beside the meal and silent auction, HERO honored a mom and her autistic son who have benefited from HERO's work. Hero served almost 2,000 people and agencies in Fargo-Moorhead this past year.

Already in 2012, 14 medical mission teams have benefitted from HERO. HERO recycles hospital equipment and supplies. It kept 59 tons of usable medical equipment out of area landfills in 2011.
