It's an opportunity many haven't had the chance to experience: Being the star of a fashion show. It's even rarer for children and teens with disabilities.
Abbi Pahl is picking the perfect outfit. This isn't her first time in the HOPE Incorporated Fashion Show. This year she's all about bright, neon colors. On Saturday Pahl will be one of more than 30 teens and children with mobility challenges showing off her summer look on the runway.
Abbi Pahl – Hope Inc. Fashion Show Star: "Show what I got picked out."
Adair Grommesh – HOPE Inc: "I cried like a baby all last time, it's just such a beautiful moment."
HOPE Inc is sponsoring the show. The group creates recreational opportunities for children and young adults with special needs. HOPE Inc. is helping out another non-profit, the YWCA.
Adair Grommesh: "We are really excited about teaming up, and helping another organization while spotlighting our children."
Once Abbi is done picking out her outfit, she'll wear it at the Hope Inc. Fashion Show this Saturday. It starts at 3 at the El Zagal Shrine.
There is no charge for the fashion show as long as you bring a toiletry item for the YWCA.
