Jury selection starts today for murder trial in Griggs County

(WDAY TV) - Jury selection starts today in the first murder trial to happen in Griggs County in 80 years. 31-year-old Daniel Wacht is accused of shooting and decapitating NDSU researcher Kurt Johnson on New Year's Eve 2010.
Johnson's head was found in Wacht's basement in Cooperstown, buried in a crawl space with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the forehead. Johnson's body still hasn't been recovered.
The trial is expected to last 2 weeks.
