"Reflection-themed" art project comes to Fargo

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Proud parents usually sport buttons of children's sports snapshots. But now, people in Fargo are using buttons that are mini-mirrors.

It's all part of a "reflection-themed" art project soon to be on display at the Great Plains Art Museum.

Two Minnesota artists wore these suits covered in mirrored buttons. They snap photos of people. In return for posing for a picture the artists pass on one of their mirrored buttons.

The snapshots will be made into buttons replacing the mirrored ones on these suits.

Artist Andrea Stanislav says, "this is the 4th time we have performed it, but each time it is unique because it is a micro and it's a macro memory of a community and a portrait if you will of a particular community with a particular question."

This exhibit will be donated by the artists and added to the Plains Art Museums permanent displays.
