They were also scrimmaging over at MSU Moorhead.

All eyes on former Shanley QB Myles Montplaisir, trying to win the Dragons starting job. Didn't start out too well, the redshirt freshman intercepted by Andrew Pittman early on. Nice diving grab.

But later on, Montplaisir found tight end Shawne Marlo for a 17 yard score.

(Marlo caught 2 TD's on the day...)

Towards the end of the scrimmage Montplaisir shows off his speed, busting a 77 yard touchdown, outrunning the Dragon secondary (not sure that's a good sign for the D)

Overall, the day was an important step in Montplaisir's development.

Montplaisir says, " I have to be ready to play a game in the fall, plain and simple. That's the goal right now and that's where I'm headed. It's never as good as you think or as bad as you think. But, I think there's definitely some good, but some bad. So we have to figure that out."
