Moorhead police officers posted outside of an apartment building for 3 hours... As party goers inside refused to let them in.

Police got a call about a loud party around 12-30 this morning. It was at 915 18th and a half street, just south of MSUM's campus.

When the renters didn't open the door, police waited for a warrant to enter the apartment. Once inside, police cited 20 minors for underage drinking and made 3 arrests.

Sgt. Steve Larson with the Moorhead Police says, "not sure why they did not cooperate with law enforcement, it is always easier to do that, but for some reason they decided they were not going to, i don't know if they thought we would just go away or what the circumstances were that led up to that."

Police say obtaining a search warrant for situations like this doesn't happen often.
