BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a man who fell onto some light-rail tracks and was dragged by a train in a Twin Cities suburb is expected to survive.

Metro Transit Police say the man in his mid-20s lost his balance at a station platform in Bloomington about 10:30 p.m. Friday and fell between two Hiawatha line train cars. Spokesman John Siqveland tells the Star Tribune a southbound train was leaving the station and dragged the man several dozen feet.

First responders found the man conscious when they arrived and took him to Hennepin County Medical Center. Authorities say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Trains were delayed about 90 minutes.
