Wadena, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A fire that burned 1,600 acres of forest and grassland in Wadena County is now completely contained. The fire broke out Sunday near the town of Nimrod.
Firefighters will remain in the area over the next several days to make sure winds don't whip up the fire again. The fire burned five buildings, including a home, a hunting shack and several outbuildings, and prompted a temporary evacuation of nearby residences.
Investigators think the fire may have been started by a vehicle.
