Bond set at $1 million for ND murder suspect
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Bond is set at one million dollars for a Fargo man accused of killing his wife, at their south Fargo apartment.
Bond is set at one million dollars for a Fargo man accused of killing his wife, at their south Fargo apartment. Fifty year-old Henry Deniger is accused of stabbing to death his 52 year-old wife Kathy Deniger back on March 6th in the couple's apartment.
Henry Deniger was arrested the next day in St. Cloud. The murder charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole. He's also been charged with tampering of evidence, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
Deniger was arrested March 7th in St. Cloud. He was just extradited back to Fargo, last night.
Tanya Martinez – Assistant State’s Attorney: “Your honor, the state is aware of prior convictions in 1990, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct in 1996, resisting arrest in 1999 and vandalism in 1998. We believe he is a flight risk the state is requesting one million dollars cash or bond.”
A preliminary hearing to decide whether or not there's enough evidence to go forward with a trial has been set for May 10th.
