Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Fargo man will be spending four years in prison after opening a checking account using his 10-year-old son's social security number and passing several bad checks.

33-year-old Joseph Lightowler will also be monitored for 4 years on any financial account he opens. He plead guilty to the charges in Cass County court Monday after passing more than $65-thousand dollars in bad checks.

In 2006, he also used the identities of his two sons, ages 2 and 3 at the time, to set up phone and cable TV accounts because his credit was bad.
