Farmers across our region will be out on rural roads this week starting spring planting. Sheriff's Offices are warning to watch out for farm equipment.
The equipment will be traveling on and parked on the side of many rural roads. The Clay County Sheriff says it's common for people to try to pass the farmers, but drivers underestimate the time it takes to get around the equipment. It can cause severe accidents.
Bill Bergquist – Clay County Sheriff: "Be careful when passing to make sure they are not going to be turning. We've had accidents like that, the tractor turns and then the people passing them run into them."
Sheriff's Offices are asking drivers give the equipment extra room.
