A Cooperstown man facing murder charges is asking a judge to suppress some of his testimony.
Thirty-one year-old Daniel Wacht is accused of shooting and decapitating NDSU researcher Kurt Johnson, who was last seen alive on New Year's Eve 2010.
Wacht wants statements that point to a possible motive for the killing to be suppressed during the trial, set to start April 16th. A witness says Wacht talked with Johnson about blowing something up or killing someone to get attention for the Aryan Nation -- a white supremacist gang.
Johnson's head was discovered in Wacht's basement. His body still has not been recovered. Wacht has pleaded not guilty.
