An Ogema family is in Fargo painting plates for people who have helped support them through their many struggles. The Jensen's are this year's March for Babies Ambassador Family.

This family of 7 may look like any ordinary family, but they have been through more than imaginable. At 24 weeks Margo Jensen gave birth to these quadruplets. Each one weighing no more than 1 pound 10 ounces. Their survival rate was low. The March of Dimes organization helped her and her family every step of the way.

Margo Jensen – Mother of Quads: “All the way, you know since being in the NICU and born and leaving the NICU.”

Now this proud family celebrates their journey. After counting on the organization several times, being named the local ambassador is overwhelming.

Margo Jensen: “We were very touched, I actually cried when they asked if we would be the ambassador family, because it is a huge honor for us to be able to share our story of having 24 weekers that are doing fantastic.”

Each one of these plates will be given to local sponsors at the March for Babies even April 14th. Here The Jensen's will also share their story with other families who have dealt with the same issues.

Ashley Gerner – Community Director: “It puts a local face to the event, sometimes you'll hear one in 8 babies are born premature and you think this doesn't happen to me or anybody I know, but it really does, it truly happens right here, it is your friends, family, it is your neighbors.”

Ashley Gerner helped pick this family for their honorary position. She has seen the Jensen's flourish over the years.

Ashley Gerner: “It has really just been amazing to see them progress and grow and develop so well and they are just so fun to be a part of.”

It's a happy day for all to see these once tiny babies become strong healthy toddlers. It is also the hope for all to help make sure other families like the Jensen's have the same bright outcome.

The March for Babies event will be April 14th at the Fargodome.
