UND's Blood signs with NHL's Ottawa Senators

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota senior defenseman Ben Blood has signed a contract with the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota senior defenseman Ben Blood has signed a contract with the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators.

Ottawa selected Blood in the fourth round of the 2007 draft, 120th overall. Terms of his deal were not disclosed. He will report to the Binghamton Senators, Ottawa's American Hockey League Affiliate.

The 6-foot-4, 226-pound Plymouth, Minn., native finished his Fighting Sioux career with 10 goals, 38 assists and 229 penalty minutes in 160 games.
