The former treasurer for the Fargo-Moorhead Derby Girls, accused of stealing $13,000 from the league, was in court for the first time today. The judge set bail at $3,000 for Louise Jauss. She posted money for her release.
The derby girls hired an auditor after finding problems with their books. The auditor found more than $13,000 in unauthorized transactions.
Court documents show Jauss took most the money, using an ATM for personal expenses. If convicted Jauss faces up to 5 years in prison.
