Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - NDSU students are raising awareness of sexual assault by not moving a muscle. About 50 students, faculty and volunteers froze at 12:22 today for two minutes.

It's all part of an effort to raise awareness of sexual assault and to prevent violence. Every two minutes, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted.

During the freeze, participants held up signs conveying this statistic and other messages.

Maureen Carolan - NDSU Student: “It's sexual assault awareness month, April, if you didn't know and yeah we wanted to raise awareness and do something and do something that got everyone's attention so.”

The Clothesline Project kicked off in the Union Gallery. It's an exhibit that raises awareness of sexual and relationship violence. It'll be up until April 13th.
