West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A West Fargo teenager is back from his trip to Washington D-C where he made his voice heard about bullying.
We brought you Jeremy Brown's story about two weeks ago. The 15 year old has been bullied over the years for being gay, and wants stricter punishments for these acts.
He and other students around the country went to D.C. to lobby lawmakers to vote yes on two bullying bills. Brown didn't meet directly with State officials, but he did get to meet with their staff members.
Brown says, "I just told them my experiences with bullying, I pointed out some specific insistences like being pushed into lockers or getting followed around with a sign that said queer, and getting a death threat at a football game, and I would just tell them why it would mean a lot for me if they voted yes because it would make me feel safer at school."
Brown plans to keep fighting for stricter laws, by talking with teachers, lawmakers, and fellow advocates.
