A silent auction helps a children's center "Go Green" in Grand Forks. UND's "University Children's Center" hopes to buy environmentally friendly playground accessories and extend a shed. Nearly 150 people enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, music, and bid on 70 items. Some items include dinner with UND's President and First Lady, the mayor, and services from businesses.
Jo-Anne Yearwood – Children’s Center Director: “It's important because we want to make sure we are doing our part to take care of the environment in as many ways as we possibly can.”
The goal, to raise 7-thousand dollars.
