Hundreds of children from around North Dakota are showing off their skills in creative problem solving. Destination Imagination is an after school program that teaches critical thinking. Each group of students from different schools competes. For weeks, they master a certain problem and solution. The students then have one minute to set up a skit and perform it in front of judges.
Max Kringen – Director: “A lot of the things that they learn in DI they are not necessarily getting with their traditional education, so it is really a nice supplementary, and we like to call it co-curricular rather than extra-curricular, because really they are learning things that they will need for their future careers.”
The winner will compete in a national championship.
