Delegates are choosing candidates for eight statewide offices.
On Saturday, there are contests for Republican support for governor, public service commissioner and superintendent of public instruction.
The most contested race is for the Republican endorsement for the U.S. House on Sunday. Five candidates are competing for GOP support.
North Dakota Republican state chairman Stan Stein opened the convention at 9:10 a.m. Saturday.
