The odds of winning may only be 1 in 176 million, but that hasn't stopped thousands from buying up tickets all week. The jackpot has grown by nearly $300 million just since Tuesday.
The lines at convenience stores around Fargo seemed endless, as nearly everyone who stopped in to this Stop-N-Go in South Fargo, bought at least one chance at a very rich future. Managers tell us that these high numbers drive up sales of other merchandise too.
We saw people buy everything from one ticket to more than fifty at a time, and everyone has at least an idea of what they would do with the money.
Brittney Held – Bought 35 Tickets: “I'd like to go on a vacation somewhere warm, not North Dakota, I guess.”
