Former presidential hopeful Cain stumping for Sand

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Duane Sand is snubbing his party's state convention in Bismarck, but his presence will be felt in the form of a billboard on wheels.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Duane Sand is snubbing his party's state convention in Bismarck, but his presence will be felt in the form of a billboard on wheels.

Only it's not his picture on the side of the bus.

Former Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain is rolling across North Dakota in his "solutions revolution" bus to campaign for Sand, who is bypassing this weekend's convention in favor of the June primary. Sand will be running against Rep. Rick Berg.

Cain said during a stop in Fargo Friday he didn't come here to "rain on their parade," referring to the convention organizers, but he doesn't care if anyone is offended by the timing of his visit.

Sand says none of his events will conflict with the convention.
