ND deputy kills muskrat after critter bites boy
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The Ward County Sheriff's office says a deputy dispatched a muskrat after the creature bit a 9-year-old boy who had tried to help it.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The Ward County Sheriff's office says a deputy dispatched a muskrat after the creature bit a 9-year-old boy who had tried to help it.
Authorities say the muskrat "appeared to be in distress" near a fence in Minot on Wednesday. Authorities say when the boy attempted to help the critter, it bit him on the hand.
The boy was taken to a Minot hospital for treatment. The muskrat was being tested for disease at the state laboratory in Bismarck.
