Bison baseball off to fast start

That pinging sound so familiar to college baseball returns earlier than expected to Newman Outdoor Field this weekend as the NDSU baseball team will play its home opener against its arch rival North Dakota.
The Bison they couldn't have dreamed of a better start to the season. It includes a 14-5 record with a win over nationally ranked Arizona and a road sweep of Minnesota last week. It all started to click for Tod Brown's team, who's hoping for bigger things.
The series with UND was originally slated for Minneapolis, it begins Friday in Grand Forks, then a doubleheader in Fargo on Saturday and wraps on Sunday.
