(WDAY TV) - Bismarck Police say an 83 year old woman was murdered in her home and her vehicle stolen. Ann Grenstiner was discovered dead in her home by her neice yesterday afternoon.

Authorities say Grenstiner was found dead in her bedroom and the signs of trauma indicate she was murdered. An autopsy done this morning provides law enforcement with more information on her cause of death -- however police are not saying how Grenstiner was killed.

Bismarck Police detectives are collecting evidence at Grenstiner's home. They have also been working the case in Fargo.

Deputy Chief Dan Donlin says detectives are following up on leads and have already located on person of interest.

Dep. Chief Dan Donlin: "A couple of people out there we are just looking to talk to. Names that just popped up that may have had contact with the deceased. So we are just trying to contact people as hear names so we can reconstruct what occured in previous 24-48 hours or so."

Police believe Grenstiner's new 2012 Honda CRV was stolen. It was located late this morning in Fargo behind a bar. Detectives will process the vehicle for clues.
