Man accused of cutting female relative in Moorhead

MOORHEAD – Police arrested a 30-year-old man this morning after he allegedly cut a female relative with a knife and punched her in the face, Lt. Joel Scharf said.

The woman was taken to the Sanford Medical Center emergency room and received stitches, Scharf said.

“She’s got a pretty decent laceration to her forearm from a knife wound,” he said.

Police were called at 6:30 a.m. to 1102 18½ St. S. for an unknown medical issue, and the woman who called hung up, Scharf said.

The man and woman, who are related but are not in a romantic relationship, apparently got into an argument that escalated, Scharf said.

Adrian Guy Jr. was located at a different address and arrested on suspicion of felony assault. He's being held at the Clay County Jail.
