The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/GU2BTL) that a pre-sentence investigation and psychological evaluation was ordered for 30-year-old Andrew Salus of Duluth, Minn.
Authorities say Salus tried to rob a Fargo McDonald's last November, striking an employee several times in the head with a handgun. Salus was burned by cooking grease or oil in a struggle with two employees that ended when officers arrived. Salus was treated at a hospital for cuts and burns.
