An investigator has been hired to look in to allegations against the Pennington County Recorder's office.

Very little is known about the nature of the allegations at this time. The Pennington County Board has agreed to hire investigator Khristi Hastings out of Fergus Falls to find out if there was any wrongdoing in the recorder's office.

"This attorney specializes in employee-employer conflicts. She also specializes in investigations that are made by public employees," Pennington County Attorney Al Rogalla said.

"An allegation has been made against a county official by an employee and when that happens, the county would like to do an investigation," Rogalla said.

Rogalla says the investigation will take at least a few weeks.
