Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo Chiropractor Todd Fiebiger is without a license this morning. It was revoked because of "alarming" number of billing irregularities that officials say are fraudulent.

After more than 7 years of investigation, dating back to 2004, the North Dakota Board of Chiropractic examiners revoked the license effective today. Fiebiger is accused of charging insurers for services he didn't perform, along with billing for services under the names of other chiropractors and billing for higher levels of services than provided. He'll can't reapply for a license for five years.

Examiners say they didn't find any problems with the treatments provided to patients and say it appears he provided quality patient care. He'll have to pay a civil penalty of up to $10-thousand dollar or reimburse the board for the cost of the investigation, whichever is less.

It's not the first time his license has been revoked. It was also taken in 2006. Initially, it was supposed to be suspended for four months while the board investigated his billing practices, but examiners later learned he was treating patients during the suspension.

The license was reinstated in 2007, but he was barred from reimbursement from BlueCross BlueShield of North Dakota. Fiebiger's clinic opened in 1996.
