Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A community remembers a Fargo family whose loved one died from a rare cancer.
Ashley Larson was diagnosed with Uterine Soft-Part Tissue Sarcoma in November. The single mother died in February. Larson leaves behind two children.
People came together at benefit. They ate a spaghetti dinner for a free will donation and bid on donated items at a silent auction.
Nicole Saunders, Ashley's sister, says, "now that she is no loner with us, we have decided to just put all of the proceeds towards Jordyn and Johnny and so that way they can use it as their college fund or any future expenses, i want to try and set up an account that they cant touch until they are 18."
Money will also go to a non-profit, Larson started for other single mothers with the same issue. It's called " Fino alla Fine", which is Italian for " Until the end."
Donations can be given at any Gate City Bank.
