Fergus Falls may get tough on temporary signs
Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - The city of Fergus Falls may crack down on temporary signs.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The city of Fergus Falls may crack down on temporary signs. Under current city code mobile signs can only stay up for 30 days or less three times a year in business districts. The problem is that the code is not really enforced, and some signs are up year round. There are even signs in residential areas. Over time city leaders have received complaints from people saying the signs are ugly and a distraction.
Daryl Johnson β Building and Zoning Inspector: βIt is a blight there's no doubt about that, there is no control over them for one thing and you know how human nature can be sometimes people don't realize what they're doing to other people.β
No set decisions have been on the sign issue, but the city may go to greater lengths to enforce the code by issuing permits and fines.
