Jamestown High names new head football coach

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Longtime Jamestown High School assistant football coach Tim Fletcher has been named the new head coach of the Blue Jays.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Longtime Jamestown High School assistant football coach Tim Fletcher has been named the new head coach of the Blue Jays.

The 1992 Jamestown graduate who played college football at Jamestown College and North Dakota State University served as a Blue Jays assistant for 11 years. He succeeds Bill Cahill, who resigned as head coach last fall after 14 seasons.

The Jamestown Sun reports (http://bit.ly/GCSMr5) that Fletcher inherits a team that lost all nine of its games last season and has won only three times the past three seasons.
