A former West Fargo police officer accused of hitting his girlfriend is pleading guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Forty-one year-old Allen Schmidt was sentenced to a year in jail, but won't serve any time if he has no other offenses for the next 120 days. Schmidt was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend in December. He resigned from the force in January.
