Census Data: Number of people born in Minnesota is shrinking

Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- The number of people in Minnesota actually born in the state, is shrinking. That according to U-S census data.

About 69 percent of Minnesotans were born in the state. That compares to 75 percent in 1980. 58 to 62 percent of people in the Twin Cities are native born residents. Morrison County has the most. Houston, the least.

Nationwide, Louisiana ranks at the top with 79 percent. Nevada is lowest with 23 percent.
