Red River Expected to Crest Below Flood Stage
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The National Weather Service predicts that the Red River will crest below minor flood stage on Monday, at 17.5 feet.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The National Weather Service predicts that the Red River will crest below minor flood stage on Monday, at 17.5 feet.
The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/x6vQEV ) the river was at about 17.25 feet Sunday morning. Earlier National Weather Service forecasts called for the river to crest at 19 feet, a foot above minor flood stage.
The three previous spring floods all ranked in the top 10, including the record 2009 flood, which crested at 40.84 feet.
