Duluth, MN (WDAY TV) -- In Duluth today, the award for the nation's top women's hockey player was given out. UND's Jocelyne Lamoureux was one of 3 finalists.
But the Patty Kazmaier award went to Jocelyne's former teammate at Shattuck St. Mary's, Brianna Decker, the 2nd straight year a Wisconsin Badger won the award. While Jocelyne didn't bring home the hardware, U-N-D's first ever finalist knows she had quite a season.
Lamoureux says, "it was a great individual year and it's kind of bittersweet to be here because I'm here and not with the team. Hopefully next year we'll be here as a team and can hopefully have a great year for myself as well."
