The construction of The Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity has been launched. The launch celebrates the beginning of construction and recognizes the people who helped make the center possible.

The new center will be a multipurpose arts facility that will include class rooms, studio space for painting and drawing, and even a ceramics room with 13 pottery wheels. When finished more than 5,000 students from the F-M area will be able to take part in all the creative activities.

Colleen Sheehy – Director, Plains Art Museum: “We want art to be a prominent part of our community, a part of who we are, what we value, how we want to live, and how we want to learn.”

More than 200 donors have contributed $6.3 million dollars to fund the project. The new center will be open this fall.
