FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The National Weather Service predicts that the Red River will crest at 19 feet Monday, one foot above minor flood stage.

The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/xxXHzW) that the river reached 16.33 feet Friday morning and will increase steadily until Monday before beginning a gradual descent.

The forecast calls for the river to dip below the 18-foot flood stage on Wednesday, and then be just above the 17-foot action level next Friday.

At 17 feet, water rises to the edge of the bike path at El Zagal bowl along Elm Street North between 14th and 15th Avenues. At 19 feet, the low-level dam south of Main Avenue is under water.
